Cassette Packaging Options in Qrates

Cassettes are packaged in a plastic Norelco box with an inserted folded card (a J-Card) that contains the album artwork and liner notes. Cassette shells come in a variety of colors. Qrates also offers both black and transparent options for Norelco boxes.

J-Cards

Qrates offers J-Cards in two configurations: 3-panel and 4-panel.

All options can be printed with full bleed both sides on heavy stock.

3-Panel J-Cards: Include the front panel, spine and flap. In a clear Norelco box all of the exterior is visible through the box. The interior side is usually used for lyrics and credits.

4-Panel J-Cards: Have an additional panel that folds inside as well as the front panel, spine and flap. It gives more space for band photos and lyrics.

O-Cards

O-cards are the common packaging for a “Cassingle.” To make short runs possible, they are printed one-sided on a heavy card stock. They feature a full-wrap sleeve, open on the ends and shrink-wrapped after the tape is inserted. We highly reccommend O-cards for cassette singles.

Please refer to the Artwork Guidelines for how to use templates and submit your artwork for production.
