How many cassettes does Qrates actually create per project?
Qrates fulfills your cassette order quantity plus an additional ~5% as a kind of insurance policy in the off chance of damage during shipping or any minor manufacturing defects.
Please note that due to variability in manufacturing we cannot guarantee that additional cassettes will be included for all projects and there may be cases wherein it is not possible to create additional cassettes due to manufacturing limitations.
For example, if your Crowdfunding project finishes with 100 ordered cassettes or you order 100 cassettes through a Make & Sell project, Qrates will order around 106 copies for manufacturing.
In this case, the extra 6 copies are used solely as replacements for customers in the event a cassette is lost in transit or arrives in a damaged condition.
Similarly, we also order an additional ~5% of the order quantity for all Make Only projects. In the rare event of damage in transit or manufacturing defect, please consider these additional copies as replacements.
